Continuity of service eliminates the influences of inclement weather, and neighborhood dangers. This service enhances riders' school attendance rates. Our drivers receive training in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI), Behavior Management, and CPR/First Aid. Drivers continuously review training techniques during weekly huddles. We participate annually in the Ohio School Van Driver Program to increase awareness and reinforce techniques needed to assure all passengers are safe. We are in compliance with Ohio Department of Education school transportation requirements. Fleet of 8 and 10 passenger vans are equipped with cell phones, safety tested transit seats, large bus doors with a stanchion safety, special non-slip flooring and custom surveillance video camera recording system to monitor students/passengers and the driver. - Consistently safe transportation
We have provided over 6,448 one-way trips during the 2014-2015 school year, 98% were incident free. One percent required minor intervention and another 1% required intervention from the rider’s home school district. - Comprehensive Communication
America’s Best Transportation communicates immediately with parents regarding any incidents that have occurred, a written incident report is submitted to the school and the home school district as needed. In addition, we conduct satisfaction surveys and provide to the home school district annual summary reports. The summary report provides transportation history for each student and includes satisfaction survey results. |
